Katie Wickes, the oldest of three daughters and the only redhead, was on her own path from the very beginning. The product of a lawyer and an artist, she inherited her father's business abilities and her mother's talent for color and design. Her product line reflects the marriage of the practical and affordable with the joy of color and pleasing lines.

While Katie knew from the time she was in high school that she wanted to work for herself and live in New York City, she realized that she needed some education and experience before she did. After graduating from Indiana University & successfully completing Bloomingdale's buying training program, she worked in the women's accessories buying office for a little over two years.

Realizing that she wanted to experience a smaller, more entrepreneurial setting, she moved to a SoHo Loft-based, boutique promotional firm. She remained there for five years while it tripled its business. Armed with the skills and knowledge from these two career paths, she knew it was time to start her own business and Twelve was born.

Katie loves the challenge of designing and producing fun yet stylish, functional, well-made and affordable accessories. Produced in the USA , Twelve speaks to the busy, chic young women of cities and towns everywhere.
